This 4 session course will focus on creating a family history blog using Google’s free Blogger platform and all you need to know to get started with publishing your family history stories online. The interactive component of blogging adds a dynamic element that print books and static websites do not offer. Your blog readers can add information and stories to enrich the content that you share with your family.
Other topics include:● Important decisions to make before publishing your content. What settings to make to have your blog be safe and be as private as you want it to be. Ideas on designing the look and feel of your blog. How to share your blog posts to your preferred audience● Where to find and follow blogs of interest
Instructor:Craig Siulinski is an experienced educator and writer, as well as an avid researcher and genealogist. He holds a Master of Science degree in Education from Cal State University EastBay, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Maine. Craig started a business in 2014 called Sharing Legacies with the goal to help people write, share, and preserve their stories for generations to come. In addition to promoting blogs for sharing family history,Craig has taught other courses in genealogy and life story writing.
